Cosmetology Operator - 1000 Hours - Hybrid - Monthly Enrollment

Length: Full Time: 9 Months  Part Time:  1 3 months

From foundations to mastery—graduate prepared for licensing, career-ready, and confident.
  • 1000 hours • Hybrid (day or evening)

  • Hands-on training on manikins, models, and real clients

  • Student Salon experience in every phase

Phase 1 — Foundations and Confidence (Hours 0–300) Focus:
  • Theory, safety, and core fundamentals

  • Manikin → supervised models; early client intros

  • 1–2 field trips

  • Milestones: theory/safety benchmarks, first supervised client

Phase 2 — Advanced Skills and Salon Readiness (Hours 301–650) Focus:
  • Advanced cutting, color, texture, extensions; brows/skin/makeup

  • Increased clientele in the Student Salon

  • Weekly PSI Practical focus with timed drills

  • Milestones: service quotas, retail/rebooking goals, PSI-timed checkoffs

Phase 3 — Mastery, Business, and Career Launch (Hours 651–1000) Focus:
  • Majority of hours on Student Salon clients

  • Comprehensive mock exams (written + practical)

  • Business, branding, pricing, booking systems; resume + portfolio

  • Final Project: create and present a cohesive hair + makeup + nails look (inspiration, products/formulas, timing, finished photos)

  • Milestones: pass mock exams; career plan finalized; licensure scheduling support

Day Schedule

Day (Full-Time):

Tue–Sat, 9:00 am–3:30 pm

  • Distance Learning (theory only): Tuesday + alternating Friday/Saturday

  • In-Person: Wednesday, Thursday, and the opposite Friday/Saturday

  • Field Trips: Wednesdays

Evening Schedule

Evening (Part-Time):

Tue–Thu, 5:00–9:30 pm;

Sat, 9:00 am–3:30 pm

  • Distance Learning (theory only): Tuesday + alternating Saturdays

  • In-Person: Wednesday, Thursday, and the opposite Saturdays

  • Field Trips: Wednesdays Note: No theory on in-person days.

State board readiness (PSI)
  • Phase 2: weekly PSI Practical rotations (sanitation, thermal curling, haircutting, chemical waving, relaxer/soft curl, haircoloring, skin/nail as applicable)

  • Phase 3: full mock practicals with scoring and corrective labs

  • Practical Packout: classroom practice + exam-day checklists provided
