With cosmetology programs ranging from 300 to 1000 hours it is safe to say you will not leave being a master, however you should take advantage of the time in school to be introduced to as many skills and techniques as possible.
Take every opportunity to practice your craft. The more you practice, the more comfortable you become. You will begin to get quicker, developing your own techniques and aesthetic. The more you challenge yourself with new skills and practice various styles the more confidence you will have once graduating. Take advantage of your time in school challenge yourself, practice new skills and technique, ask questions and learn from your instructors and peers.
